REDUCE.

This concept is very important because if we reduce we can stop a lot of environmental problems, it is simple and we can do it every day , daily, from the very moment when we wake up to when we go to bed.
Do not forget that to produce everything we buy  raw materials, water, energy, minerals, .. are needed; all these resources  might run off or need a lot of time to be renewed
There's a lot of ways for you to reduce waste, save yourself some time and money, and to take care of the Earth at the same time, for example :
  •  When you buy use your own cloth bag or shopping cart.
  •  Reduce the use of aluminum foil.
  • Use long life light bulbs
  • Buy products sold in refill packs or concentrated products
  •  Reduce energy and water.

Recycle

To recycle is to put diferent tipe of things in specific containers. When,
something like batteries has not a container,  you have to
throw it in a" punto limpio".

Everybody should recycle because it is good for the enviroment.

In jaca we did many things about recycling as for instance songs games and many
more funny activities.

RECYCLE

You must recycle because it is good for the enviroment, the nature, for the earth and for you.
To recycle you should put the rubbish in the specific container:
Plastic in the yellow container
Paper in the blue container
Clothes in the black container
Batteries in a special container
Glass in the green container
Organic things in the grey container
Oil in a special container
In Pueyo de Jaca we made posters and songs about recycling, explaining how to recycle and what you should  do  to preserve our planet.
So, RECYCLE, please

Human ecological footprint

Ecological footprint

The ecological footprint is a measure of ecological human demand on the Earth’s ecosystems.
Humanity needs what nature provides, but how do we know how much we’re using and how much we have to use?

The Ecological Footprint has emerged as the world’s premier measure of humanity’s demand on nature. It measures how much land and water area a human population requires to produce the resource it consumes and to absorb its wastes, using prevailing technology.
By the years pass, the human have influenced all World’s ecosystems, and even the weather. We use petrol to produce gasoline or plastic. We take out coal to produce energy, and aluminium to take cans; and water to drink… but the most important is Co2 that we send to the air, it is caused by the burning of coal, petrol and gas. Another important influence in the Earth is the throwing of waste to the ground, it is also important to recycle. The cutting of trees is also another type to damage the different ecosystems.

Canadian ecological footprint

Canada is one of the countries with the largest ecological footprint per person:

Year 2003
Year 2005
Canadian footprint
7.6
7.1
Classification
4th
7th

Personal opinion

People depend on the nature to survive.
If we are going to continue having good living conditions, we must be sure that nature’s productivity isn’t used more quickly than it can be renewed, and that waste isn't discharged more quickly than nature can absorb it.

SAVE WATER

Water is a finite resource that must be preserved; it is a scarce and limited resource in many places and, even if you live in an area with an adequate amount of rainfall, energy is needed to process the water, to pump it, to heat it and to process it again.
