Canada, human geography and a bit of history

Canada is a country with more than 33 million of inhabitants. It is located in   North America and it’s the second largest country in the world. The first inhabitants were people from Siberia who came across the Bering Strait, and later other people who arrived from Asia.  After the discovery of America, other European   explorers arrived to seek new lands. British and  French settlers arrived in North America and fought  to stay there. France established two colonies around 1600 BCE. Canada is to the north of the USA.  After several battles between France and England, the colonies were conquered by the British in the 18th century CE. Canada fought peacefully for their freedom and thanks to a treaty signed by Queen Victoria, Canada became an independent, self-governing federation in 1867.
