Canada, physical relief

Mountains:
At the west we have the Rocky Mountains and at the north-east we have the Mackenzie Range. At the north is the Barren Grounds and the Canadian Shield. At the southwest is the Labrador, the Appalachian Mountains and the Coastal Plain, then at the centre there are some plains called the Great Plains.

Weather:
Summer:
During the summer months (June-July-August), the temperature can vary between 12 º C and 30 º C.

Winter:
During the winter months (December-January-February), the west coast is warmer: 3 º C and in other cities: -10 º C and can drop to -25 º C

Rivers:
Canada has two important rivers the St. Lawrence which drains the Great Lakes, and the other important river is the Mackenzie which leads into the Artic Ocean. The St Lawrence is the largest river in Canada in volume of water, but the Mackenzie is the longest river.

Volcanoes:
There are many volcanoes in western Canada, there is a site call the Pacific Ring of Fire, it is call like this because volcanoes are found around the margins of the Pacific Ocean. This is the Mount Garibaldi.
